Stainless Steel 253MA Tubing is made with 21% chromium, 11% nickel, and 0.17% nitrogen, along with small amounts of rare earth metals (REM) and about 1.6% silicon to boost oxidation resistance. It boasts a minimum tensile strength of 600 MPa and a yield strength of 310 MPa, along with excellent creep resistance at high temperatures. 253MA retains its mechanical integrity even at temperatures over 1000°C and shows outstanding resistance to oxidation and scaling. The addition of nitrogen and REM enhances its structural stability and surface toughness, making it a great choice for continuous exposure to thermal cycling or oxidizing environments.
