In addition to iron and trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon, Duplex Steel S32205 Tubing contains 21–23% chromium, 4.5–6.5% nickel, 2.5–3.5% molybdenum, and 0.14–0.20% nitrogen. Improved resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking is offered by this dual-phase alloy. It has an elongation of 25%, a tensile strength of about 620 MPa, and a minimum yield strength of 450 MPa. S32205 tubing is very effective in corrosive and high-pressure environments because of its microstructure, which guarantees exceptional mechanical toughness and fatigue resistance.
