Duplex Steel Mechanical Tubing contains around 22% chromium, 5% nickel, molybdenum, and minor amounts of nitrogen. This two-phase microstructure combines the benefits of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels, providing superior corrosion resistance—particularly in chloride environments. It possesses high mechanical strength with up to 620 MPa tensile strength and yield strength of about 450 MPa. The tubing also demonstrates strong resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and fatigue. Its weldability and shock resistance enable it to find application in high-performance products where strength, endurance, and resistance to harsh environments are required.
