Stainless Steel 316Ti Heat Exchanger Tubing is composed of 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and a sufficient amount of titanium (typically at least five times the carbon content) to prevent carbide precipitation. This addition of titanium greatly enhances resistance to sensitization during welding and prolonged exposure to high temperatures. The tubing boasts a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and remarkable ductility and toughness. 316Ti maintains its structural integrity and corrosion resistance at temperatures reaching up to 870°C, making it ideal for thermal cycling and the transfer of corrosive fluids in heat exchanger systems.
