Stainless Steel 316L Tubing is an austenitic alloy made up of 16–18% Chromium, 10–14% Nickel, and 2–3% Molybdenum, featuring a low carbon content (<0.03%) to improve weldability and reduce carbide precipitation. This tubing boasts a tensile strength ranging from 485–620 MPa, a yield strength of about 170–310 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 35–40%. Its unique composition offers excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride-rich and acidic environments. 316L maintains its strength and stability even in high-pressure and high-temperature applications, ensuring long-lasting performance in demanding conditions.
