Alloy 20 Pipes are composed of a nickel-iron-chromium alloy, featuring significant amounts of nickel (32–38%), chromium (19–21%), iron (the balance), along with copper (3–4%), molybdenum (2–3%), and niobium for stabilization. This unique blend of elements gives them excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. In terms of mechanical properties, they boast a minimum tensile strength of 551 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 241 MPa. The careful balance of nickel and chromium in the alloy enhances its performance in acidic conditions while ensuring good mechanical strength and workability.
