Aluminium 1050 is made up of at least 99.5% aluminium, with just a few traces of iron, silicon, and other elements. Its mechanical properties feature a tensile strength ranging from 60 to 100 MPa, a yield strength of about 30 MPa, and an elongation of 20 to 30%, depending on the temper. This alloy boasts excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, outstanding corrosion resistance, and remarkable workability. While it can’t be heat-treated, it responds well to cold working and is easy to weld. Aluminium 1050 is lightweight, soft, and ductile, making it perfect for applications that require easy forming and non-critical strength.
