Duplex Steel Seamless Tubing is generally made up of 22% chromium, 5–6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and nitrogen with iron as the base metal. This combination provides superior corrosion protection, especially against stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion. It also offers excellent mechanical performance with a tensile strength of about 620 MPa, yield strength of about 450 MPa, and elongation of about 25%. These tubes provide excellent structural integrity, lower wall thickness for cost-effectiveness, and excellent resistance in hostile chemical and marine environments and hence are well suited for high-performance industrial applications.
