Duplex Steel Welded Tubing is primarily made up of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels, typically featuring about 22–25% chromium, 4–7% nickel, and 3% molybdenum. This unique dual-phase structure offers exceptional corrosion resistance, particularly against pitting and stress corrosion cracking. The tubing boasts high strength, with a tensile strength ranging from approximately 620–850 MPa and a yield strength of around 450 MPa, along with good impact toughness and weldability. These mechanical properties make Duplex Steel an excellent choice for challenging environments where both strength and durability are essential.
