Inconel 601 tubing is an alloy made mostly of nickel (58–63%) and chromium (21–25%), with iron, aluminum, and trace elements added. This alloy provides superior oxidation resistance even at high temperatures. It has a high tensile strength of up to 100 ksi (690 MPa) and a yield strength of around 30 ksi (207 MPa) at room temperature, both mechanically. It also shows superior fatigue strength and thermal shock resistance.
