It shows average corrosion resistance, particularly in indoor or weakly corrosive environments. The major mechanical properties are tensile strength of ~515 MPa, yield strength of ~275 MPa, and elongation of 40%, offering good performance in low- to medium-stress applications. While having lower corrosion resistance than 304, SS 202 tubing outperforms in work-hardening, weldability, and cold toughness, which makes it well suited for general-purpose industrial and architectural applications.
