Stainless Steel 317 and 317L Welded Tube contains 18–20% chromium, 13–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum, providing greater resistance to corrosion, particularly against acidic, chloride-containing, and chemical-containing environments. The tube gives good mechanical properties with a tensile strength of 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and very good elongation and ductility. The 317L version has reduced carbon content, which improves weldability and minimizes carbide precipitation. Such attributes provide structural endurance and longevity in high-temperature and high-pressure industrial applications.
