Stainless Steel 439 Pipes consist of 17–19% chromium and added titanium for stabilization, along with negligible carbon content (≤0.03%). The ferritic microstructure offers superior oxidation resistance and enhanced stress corrosion resistance over that of normal 430. SS 439 has a tensile strength of approximately 415 MPa and yield strength of 275 MPa. It has good thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance in mildly aggressive environments. These pipes are structurally stable during welding and high-temperature service and can be used in systems where high-temperature oxidation is an issue.
