Stainless Steel 904L Seamless Pipes are made up of approximately 19–23% chromium, 23–28% nickel, 4–5% molybdenum, and 1–2% copper, with a low carbon content of around 0.02% max to avoid sensitization. This alloy is particularly effective against reducing acids like sulfuric and phosphoric acid. The typical tensile strength ranges from 490 to 740 MPa, while the yield strength is about 220 MPa, offering good elongation and toughness even in colder conditions. The high alloy content provides a pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) exceeding 35, making 904L an excellent choice for environments that demand long-lasting corrosion resistance.
