304, 316L, or 904L stainless steel is commonly used to produce Stainless Steel Condenser Tubing. These grades have 18–25% chromium, 8–20% nickel, with an optional molybdenum content (up to 4.5%) for increased corrosion resistance. The tubing has tensile strength between 485 MPa and 600 MPa, yield strength of about 170–250 MPa. The mechanical properties are maintained even under high temperature and pressure conditions. There is smooth inner surface that allows for efficient fluid flow and heat transfer. Corrosion–resistance, particularly in seawater and acidic environments, renders it well suited for condenser and evaporator systems in hostile service conditions.
