S32760 tubing has about 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 3.5% molybdenum, 0.7% tungsten, and nitrogen. This super duplex steel offers a balanced austenitic-ferritic structure. Mechanical properties are tensile strength of 800 MPa and yield strength in excess of 550 MPa. Tubing possesses good PREN (>40), which reflects excellent localized corrosion resistance. It is sound in structure up to –50°C to 300°C temperature range. Its corrosion resistance and strength are superior to that of regular duplex or stainless steel due to which it is a good option for corrosive as well as chloride-rich service environments.
